Keep Motivated!

What happens to everyone in the summer? We all get comfortable with how hard we worked in the winter months and relax in the summer months. This goes true for fitness. Everyone needs to stay motivated somehow. Find you're motivation, whether its your celebrity idol, fitness partner, romance parter or your inner self. Surround yourself with the right positive energy and people to get through these slow months!

Breakfast Power!!

GLUTEN FREE PROTEIN PANCAKES

From CutandJacked.com

If you're like most of us at IHF, you want to get creative with the taste buds so you don't have a stale taste in your mouth every time a meal comes around. I, personally, love to eat for taste and functionality whenever I'm not pre-contest. When I am pre-contest, I pretty much hate all food and am jealous of the kids at McDonald's....

Here's a great recipe I tried out the other day and loved. Hopefully, it will add a bit more taste to your healthy lifestyle. ENJOY!

Ingredients:
-1 Ripe Banana
-3 Eggs
-2 Egg whites
=1 cup almond milk
-1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
-21/4 blanched Almond Flour
-1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
-2 tsp Baking Soda
-1/4 tsp salt
-1 Tbsp Coconut Oil for cooking

Instructions:

1. In your food processor or high-speed blender, blend together banana, eggs, egg whites, and almond milk unit smooth. Add almond flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.

2. Heat some of the coconut oil in large skillet, and add batter to make 3-4 inch diameter pancakes. Cook about three minutes until golden on bottom and pancake wants to flip easily (when bubbles start to appear and pop). Feel free to add blueberries or other fruit to pancakes before flipping, if desired. Flip and cook 2 minutes longer. Add more oil as necessary.

Makes about 20-24 pancakes.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

Happy Independence Day!!

We hope you didn't hit the food as hard as the IHF Team did yesterday and are recovering from whatever type of coma you're in. If you didn't workout yesterday, then there's no excuse not to go hit it hard today! Use those extra calories from your BBQs and push some serious iron in the gym or run that extra 1 or 2 miles. Summer is the best time to look you're best so keep yourself goal oriented and in that healthy lifestyle!

Almost BBQ TIME!!

The Fourth of July is tomorrow and the IHF team is excited to be having a Potluck BBQ tomorrow on Kailua beach.
Till then....
It's also Hump Day. Jeremy will spend part of his day perfecting his Overhead Squat/Front Squat before he trains Hamstrings and Glutes with our newest addition to our team/ohana, Stevie.
Jeremy is probably in for a rude awakening because Stevie set school records in Arizona for both Squat AND Deadlift. But it is Hump Day so work on that hump!

Iron Hawaiian Fitness is EXPANDING

IRON HAWAIIAN FITNESS is proud to say that it is becoming it's own LLC and growing to the point where we can't possible achieve all your goals in the location we are in now. IHF is now looking for new locations to hold more personal training for our competitors, more space for group training packages, open gym hours and the accessories that go with all of it.
This is our lifestyle and we are glad to share the joy of it with our clients and friends. Please stay tuned for more about what's to come at IHF!
As you can see, Marc is always busy with the girls.
